A Thriving Legacy
Coach Michael Keahon
A proud alumnus of Brophy College Preparatory, class of 1973, Michael Keahon has been a cornerstone of the school’s athletic program for over 25 years. As the head coach of the cross country team and a coach on the track and field team, he mentored hundreds of students, guiding them to become not only accomplished athletes but also professionals—and, most importantly, men for others.
Under his leadership, the team achieved significant success, including numerous state championships and the development of eight individual state champions, with many athletes advancing to compete at the collegiate level. His exceptional contributions to Brophy’s athletic excellence were recognized with his induction into the Brophy Sports Hall of Fame in 2000.
In recognition of his legacy, the Michael P. Keahon Award is presented annually to the Brophy student who is voted the most valuable distance runner.
This website was created by Coach Keahon’s family and former runners as a tribute to his enduring impact. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you, Coach, for everything you have done for us.
